5 Pro Tips for Microsoft OneNote

Many people think of OneNote as a useless piece of software. That certainly isn’t true. Here’s 5 things that will help you get more out of OneNote.

1. Break it down
Organise your notes by creating new Notebooks, Sections and Pages.

2. Password protect your sections
Hover over your section name on the left-hand size, right click and select password protection.

3. Add tags
Click Home, Tags and then click on an icon that’s suitable, these include To-do checkboxes, important marker and question markers.

4. Make meeting notes
Take notes from meetings directly from your Microsoft Calendar: Click Insert, Meeting Details and select the appropriate meeting.

5. Use Keyboard Shortcuts
Add a new page = Ctrl + N
Insert a link = Ctrl + K
Insert current date and time = Alt + Shift + F
Select all items on a page = Ctrl A
