AAG IT Services to support Down’s Syndrome Association with new hire

In recent months, AAG IT Services has grown substantially with nine new hires and an extension of office space in Chesterfield. This growth has opened many new doors and possibilities, including the opportunity to create space for a computer and technology refurbishment department to support the environmentally friendly recycling and reuse of old technology.

With this news, we are thrilled to welcome Max Lee to the AAG IT Services team. Max is our new Computer Refurbishment Technician, and his role will be significant in the hardware service we provide to clients.

Here at AAG, we partner with several charities to support their IT needs. As such, we wanted to ensure that this department also allowed us to give back to the community. Therefore, all proceeds raised from the sale of this refurbished technology will be donated to the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Clients can now donate their old hardware to AAG IT Services, where Max will securely wipe it. Before undertaking a thorough refurbishment, installing new operating systems, and replacing worn parts. Once complete and quality-checked, the hardware will be resold through online channels.

On the appointment, Alexa Greaves, CEO at AAG IT Services said “We’re incredibly proud to welcome Max Lee to the team. Away from the office, Max is a great swimmer, a regular at the gym and a keen member of SANDance (See Ability Not Disability dance group) where he’s performed in front of hundreds of people (something that he forgot to mention to us!). When he needs to recover from all his exercise, Max loves watching films (his favourites at the moment are Harry Potter, Mission Impossible, James Bond, Bad Boys and the Jason Bourne series). Oh, and if he isn’t watching films, he’s entertaining himself through his PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, or by going out to the local cinema.

With previous experience of working in the retail sector at his local Co-Op, we’re looking forward to helping Max settle into his new role, supporting our clients with the eco-friendly option of donating their e-waste, and to supporting Down’s Syndrome Association.

This latest hire is our 10th welcome in just a couple of months at AAG, as we expand our capacity within the Sales Department (welcome Janine!) and Service Desk team (welcome Emma!) to meet increasing demand and support even more businesses with tailored IT services.
