VoIP – (Voice Over Internet Protocol)

VoIP allows users to make phone calls over LANs (local area networks) or the internet. This allows people to talk to one another long-distance and around the world without having to pay long distance or international phone charges.

VoIP works by converting voice audio into packets of data that then travel through the internet like any other type of data such as text or pictures. These packets of sound data travel almost instantly through public and private internet networks to route from the origination to the destination.

What are the benefits of VoIP?

Cost- The initial setup and ongoing costs are less for operating a VoIP system than a more traditional phone system.

Accessibility- Distance or location makes no difference to a VoIP system, as long as you both have an internet connection, a communication is possible.

Flexibility- A VoIP network has a great deal of flexibility. With a VoIP network, you are limited only by bandwidth, so  thousands of connections can conceivably be made.

Voice Quality- If you have a reliable internet connection with good bandwidth, you should experience voice quality that is the equal of, if not better than, a traditional phone connection.

Leased Lines

With a dedicated leased line, the bandwidth you require has been given to you and only you have access to it. This means that your connection won’t be hampered by peak times throughout the day.

If you own or run your own business, you’ll already be aware of the impact slow internet connections can have. Downloading or sending large files, VoIP conference calls – all can be interrupted by a poor internet connection.

What are the benefits of AAG Leased Lines?
